Job Archiver is a browser extension that saves job postings as PDF files to your local device. Your privacy is important to us. This page explains exactly what data the extension accesses and what it does with it.
What data does Job Archiver access?
- The content of the active browser tab when you click "Save PDF" — this is used to extract the job title, company name, and to generate the PDF.
What data does Job Archiver collect or transmit?
None. Job Archiver does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data with any server or third party. All processing happens entirely on your local device.
- No analytics or tracking
- No account or login required
- No data leaves your computer
- PDFs are saved directly to your Downloads folder
Permissions explained
- activeTab / scripting — to read the job posting page and extract the company name and job title.
- debugger — to generate a high-quality PDF of the page using Chrome's built-in print engine (Chrome DevTools Protocol). This is the only reliable way to produce a pixel-accurate PDF from a browser tab without a server.
- downloads — to save the generated PDF file to your Downloads folder.
Third-party services
Job Archiver does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs.
